AI chatbot for WordPress

Most WordPress sites already have the answers visitors want, spread across service pages, an FAQ and a few blog posts. Nobody reads all of it. SpideyChat crawls those pages and turns them into an assistant that answers in seconds, takes contact details when someone is ready to talk, and logs the questions your site doesn't answer yet.

Free plan, no card needed.

How do I add an AI chatbot to WordPress?

To add an AI chatbot to WordPress, install the free SpideyChat plugin, paste your license key into Settings > SpideyChat and save. The assistant learns from your existing pages, so there is nothing to write by hand, and it shows on every page of the site. The Free plan costs nothing and needs no card.

Install it on WordPress

First create your assistant in SpideyChat and copy its code from the Install tab. Then:

  1. 1Download the free SpideyChat plugin: https://spideychat.com/downloads/spideychat-wordpress.zip
  2. 2In your WordPress admin, go to Plugins → Add New → Upload Plugin, choose the zip, then Install Now and Activate.
  3. 3Open Settings → SpideyChat, paste your license key (from License & websites on your chatbot's page) and click Save Changes. That activates the license for your website.

What it answers for WordPress sites

Typical questions it handles, answered from your own pages. When it doesn’t know, it says so and takes the visitor’s details instead of guessing.

WordPress questions

Is there a free AI chatbot plugin for WordPress?

Yes. The SpideyChat plugin is free, and so is the Free plan it connects to: one assistant and about 375 replies a month, with no card. Paid plans start at $9.99 a month if you need more replies or full-site crawling.

Will a chatbot slow down my WordPress site?

The widget is one small script with no dependencies, loaded with defer in the footer, so it doesn't block your content from rendering. It doesn't add database queries to WordPress because the assistant runs on SpideyChat's servers.

Does it work with WooCommerce?

Yes. A WooCommerce store is a WordPress site, so the same plugin covers it. The assistant answers product, delivery and returns questions from your store pages.

Can I use it on a WordPress.com site?

Only on WordPress.com plans that allow plugins, which are the higher tiers. On the entry plans you can't add plugins or custom scripts, so you'd need to upgrade or use a self-hosted WordPress site.
