How do I add an AI chatbot to Wix?
To add an AI chatbot to Wix, open Settings > Custom Code, add the SpideyChat code to Body - end on all pages, and publish. Wix only allows custom code on premium plans with a connected domain. The assistant then answers visitors from your own pages and takes their details when they want to book or buy.
Install it on Wix
First create your assistant in SpideyChat and copy its code from the Install tab. Then:
- 1In your site dashboard, open Settings and find Custom Code (under Advanced or Development & integrations).
- 2Click + Add Custom Code and paste the code.
- 3Choose All pages, Load code once, and place it in Body - end.
- 4Click Apply, then publish your site.
Good to know on Wix
- Wix custom code needs a premium plan and a connected domain. On a free Wix site the Custom Code option isn't available.
- Choose All pages, Load code once and Body - end when you add the code, so the chat button appears everywhere.
- Wix's own chat and SpideyChat can run side by side, but two chat buttons confuse visitors. Most owners turn off Wix's chat (Wix Chat on older sites, Smart Chat on newer ones) once SpideyChat is live.

Do I need to write the answers myself?
