A good fit for

People and businesses already paying for Microsoft 365 who want the assistant inside Word, Excel, Outlook and Teams.

Look elsewhere if

You want a standalone assistant subscription: Microsoft now sells consumer Copilot as part of its Microsoft 365 plans.

Consumer access comes with Microsoft 365 Personal at $9.99 a month; Microsoft 365 Copilot for businesses is $30 per user a month, paid yearly.
